Objectives
The reality we face today makes us all understand that we are in need of transformation, and this is what encouraged us to create Line of Change. Line of Change is an educational system based on Training, aimed at completing the Development of Intelligence, promoting Personal Growth and expanding Human Consciousness, based on Knowledge derived from neuroscience, for all people to be able to:
- Understand and know themselves.
- Understand and know others.
- Solve and prevent conflict.
- Shape or modify aspects of their personality that require it.
- Establish and reach their own objectives.
- Act with high human values.
- Prevent emotional and cognitive damage to future generations.
FUNDAMENTALS
Theoretical Grounds:
The Line of Change system is based on new knowledge of the Brain and Human Behavior produced by science over the last 20 years, mainly derived from research in the neuroscience field.
This research has provided insight into a large number of questions and paved the way towards a better understanding of human behavior.
Thus, it has been possible to identify and analyze, for example, several mechanisms that make up the emotional brain, related to our most primitive and basic reactions, as well as its interaction with the upper cortex, all of which determine our “human” behavior.
Although until recently it was not possible to examine the mechanisms that create our thoughts, emotions and actions in real time, nowadays, thanks to the development of new imaging techniques, we can observe the brain live and watch the structures interacting in our inner world.
Incorporating this knowledge is the core to Human Development. This knowledge opens up a new space for understanding the mind, revealing that behavior is related to:
- The structure of several modules of the brain
- How well they work
- The type of information recorded in our memory during our education
And it has been shown that in structuring our brain and therefore our behavior, the genetic factor plays a part as important as the education provided by our family and society.
Methodology:
Human beings possess a memory mechanism that allows us to learn and re-learn, and the Line of Change system has focused its work on information and memory, since this field can be remarkably enriched by learning.
Therefore, our task involves educating to activate higher cognitive faculties in the brain that help make emotional responses conscious. This training, based on new scientific knowledge, increases comprehension, analysis, assessment and self-determination skills and favors the freedom of thinking and acting with more humane values.
Finally, since our main tool is teaching, and as we aspire to making it available to everyone, our work methodology is based on the following premises:
- Translating complex scientific statements into a language that is more easily understood, and accessible to everyone.
- Selecting, analyzing, assessing and organizing large amounts of scattered scientific material with the aim of giving it a practical application in the process of improving our lives.
In the understanding that these new scientific discoveries provided us with the opportunity to start our own journey of knowledge, we started the Line of Change (Línea de Cambio) project in 1995; as its name indicates, it constantly changes and adapts to new scientific developments. And, in 2003, we created Asociación Educar para el desarrollo Humano.
